SAMPA’s Hospital Affiliations

The surgeons at Surgical Association of Mobile are affiliates with two leading hospitals in the greater Mobile Area. While it’s critically important to choose the best surgeon and surgical practice for you, the hospital at which you have your surgery is key to your safety and comfort. It is in partnership with these hospitals that we can offer an exceptional patient experience from beginning to end.

Mobile Infirmary Medical Center

Mobile Infirmary Medical Center was founded in 1910 and has grown to become not only the largest of 5 hospitals in the Infirmary Health System but the largest not-for-profit, non-governmental hospital in Mobile and the surrounding area.

With 669 beds, MIMC serves the community with a full range of procedures and diagnostic imaging.

Amongst many of our firsts, MIMC and SAMPA were the first in the area to use the daVinci Surgical System (robotically assisted surgery) on general and bariatric patients. Click here for directions to our Mobile Infirmary Medical Center office.

Springhill Medical Center

Founded in 1975, Springhill Medical Center has the distinction of being the only tax-paying hospital in Mobile. SMC pledges that all profits go towards improving patient services and care.

As a 263-bed level III trauma center, SMC not only has a robust emergency department but also provides comprehensive elective surgical care for our patients.

In addition to being outfitted for traditional laparoscopic surgery, SMC also has a daVinci Robotic Surgical System available to our surgeons. Click here for directions to our Springhill Medical Center office.
